Issues in Religion and Psychotherapy

Welcome to Issues in Religion and Psychotherapy Online!

This peer-reviewed, professional journal (formerly known as The AMCAP Journal) is dedicated to the scholarly investigation of the interface between religion and mental health practice.  Over 30 years of values-based professional writing, generated by members and friends of AMCAP (The Association of Mormon Counselors and Psychotherapists), is represented in this fully searchable online archive.

Since 1975, this journal has been a resource for AMCAP members and others interested in mental health insights, research, and techniques consistent with LDS doctrine. The journal contains articles reflective of AMCAP's "commitment to spiritual and professional excellence," and addresses a wide variety of clinical and psychological topics. Contents include AMCAP Convention talks, member research, theoretical papers, and General Authority writings.

Thanks to all the men and women who have contributed to this archive over nearly four decades. As this information is made available to a worldwide audience, may it nourish a whole new generation, and make an even broader difference for good in the decades to come.
